Location and neighbourhood

Old Klang Road is an older, established residential area south of the city centre. Actual distances by road may be longer.

Living here: what to check before you buy or rent

Before you commit, ask the agent or the management office about the tenure, the current maintenance fee and sinking fund, and which facilities residents can use. View the unit in person, ideally at different times of day, to get a feel for noise, natural light and parking. Look at the condition of common areas such as lifts, corridors and car parks, because they show how well the building is managed. If you are buying, have a lawyer check the title and any restrictions, and confirm there are no unpaid fees on the unit. If you are renting, read the tenancy agreement carefully and record the condition of the unit when you get the keys. Comparing a few units in this development and in nearby buildings will help you judge whether an asking price or rent is fair.
