About Amberwood Resort Residence

Amberwood Resort Residence is listed in our directory as a serviced residence on the JB City side of Johor. It is also known as Amberwood Resort Residence (Residensi Ambar Rimba), so you may see either name on listings, documents or signage. Serviced residences are apartment-style homes, and the layout, fittings and condition can differ from one unit to the next depending on how each owner has kept or renovated it. If you are comparing several listings in the same building, it helps to view more than one unit so you get a fair sense of what is on offer.

Location and neighbourhood

The development sits within Johor Bahru, the state's main city and a busy urban area with a wide mix of homes, from older flats to newer high-rise residences. Our directory lists 401 developments in the same area, so buyers and tenants have plenty to compare. Several other developments lie close by. Measured as straight-line distances, Vida Heights, a serviced residence, is about 0.1 km away. Epic Residence, an apartment, is about 0.4 km away, and Taman Suria Muafakat, also an apartment, is about 0.5 km away. D'Tasek Residences, Larkin (residential), Desa Muafakat (flat) and Lagenda Tasek (condominium) are each about 0.6 km away. Actual travel distances by road will usually be longer, so it is worth visiting the area yourself at different times of day.

Living here: what to check before you buy or rent

Before committing, ask the agent or the management office about the tenure and check the title type and status, especially if you plan to take a bank loan. Ask for the current maintenance fees and sinking fund charges, and whether there are any arrears on the unit. Confirm which facilities are available to residents and whether any carry extra charges. Ask about parking allocation, access cards and house rules. Always view the unit in person and look for signs of water leaks, wear on fittings and the condition of the common areas. If you are renting, read the tenancy agreement carefully, including the deposit, notice period and what furniture is included. It is also sensible to compare asking prices and rents with the nearby developments listed above.
